What to expect before, during, and after the session

Before

Contraindications

Contraindications

  • Wear comfortable clothes. Nothing restrictive around the chest, waist, or neck.
  • Eat lightly 1–2 hours before, or come on an empty stomach. Not immediately after a large meal.
  • Hydrate well throughout the day.
  • Bring water and a blanket or layer (your body temperature may shift during the session).
  • No specific preparation is needed. Come as you are.

Contraindications

Contraindications

Contraindications

Please consult with us before attending if you have any of the following:

  • Pregnancy
  • Cardiovascular disease or recent cardiac event
  • Seizure disorder or epilepsy
  • Unmanaged high blood pressure
  • Recent surgery (especially abdominal or thoracic)
  • Severe asthma (bring your inhaler)
  • Active psychosis or dissociative disorder
  • Any condition where altered breathing patterns could pose a risk

This is not a medical treatment. It is a practice. If you are unsure, ask us. We would rather have a conversation and welcome you safely than have you hesitate in silence.

During

  • The session begins with an orientation — we'll explain what's about to happen, how to breathe, and what to do if you need support
  • You'll lie down (or sit, if preferred) in a comfortable position
  • The sound will begin — this is your guide as much as the verbal facilitation
  • You'll be invited into a breathing pattern — usually circular breathing to start
  • The session will move through phases: Harmonizing →  Balancing → Grounding → Healing → Orienting
  • Sensations may arise: tingling, temperature shifts, emotional waves,      involuntary movement, deep stillness, visual imagery, or nothing notable at all. All of this is normal.
  • A facilitator is always present and available. If you need anything, raise your hand or simply stop the breathing pattern and return to your      natural breath.

After

  • Take your time. Don't rush to stand up.
  • Drink water.
  • The integration period is as important as the active breathing. Give yourself 10–30 minutes of quiet after the session.
  • You may feel: deeply relaxed, emotionally tender, energized, tired, clear, spacey, or some combination. All normal.
  • We recommend: Journaling, walking, gentle movement, or simply resting for the remainder of the day.
  • We recommend against: Intense exercise, heavy alcohol consumption, or emotionally charged conversations immediately after. Give yourself space.

The session doesn't end when the music stops. Integration happens in the hours and days that follow. Be gentle with yourself.
